A social experiment to encourage more human connection.
We’ve made some free badges as a reminder, and an invitation, to say hi to each other.
-

Take one.
Keep an eye out around town for boxes of hi badges. If you see one, take a free badge and wear it.
-

Look up.
As you go about your day, remember to slow down and look up. Take in your environment. The badge is a gentle reminder, not an obligation.
-

Say hi.
When the mood takes you, give someone a friendly hi, nod or wave - it will make you feel good. And someone else too.
Why are we doing this?
The social norm of engaging with strangers while going about our day has been eroded.
What we consider rude or unfriendly has fundamentally changed.
We routinely ignore each other and stare at our black mirrors. This is no way to live our lives. We are social animals. It's actively harming us.
While a small interaction like saying hi to someone won't change the world, it might change a moment.
And those moments add up.
Hi is a social experiment to see if we can help people to feel more connected to their fellow humans.
The project was conceived by Humanosity.
